REALTORŪ Member Qualifications
Hold a valid real estate license or appraisal certification and be actively engaged in the real estate profession and its recognized branches; Be employed by or affiliated with a Designated REALTORŪ / Broker / Appraiser as an independent contractor.
DESIGNATED REALTORŪ / Broker / Appraiser Qualifications
Hold a valid real estate license or appraisal certification and be actively engaged in the real estate profession and its recognized branches; Be a sole proprietor, partner or corporate officer of your firm; Have no record of official sanctions involving unprofessional conduct and no recent or pending bankruptcy.
REALTORŪ Code of Ethics
As a REALTORŪ, you agree to: Abide by the National Association of REALTORSŪ Code of Ethics; Abide by the Constitution, ByLaws, and Policies of the Waco Association of REALTORSŪ, the Texas Association of REALTORSŪ, and the National Association of REALTORSŪ.
WAOR Membership Joining Requirements
All agents are required to attend a New Member Orientation session before membership approval. All sessions begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue until approximately 4:00 p.m. with breakfast and lunch provided. Orientation dates are listed below with the joining fee schedule.
Effective immediately, complete membership applications and joining fees must be turned into the Board Office by noon on the Monday preceding New Member Orientation. Applications must be entirely filled out with the Broker's signature.
Board Office staff will review the applications to ensure each form is completed properly. If there is a problem with an application, the Broker will have until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, the day following Orientation, to correct the issue before it will be considered by the Membership Committee for approval.
It is the responsibility of the Broker to ensure the application is fully completed with proper signatures and submitted in the required time frame.

All new member applicants must provide a copy of an active real estate license, appraiser's license or proof the test has been passed. Once approved, agents with inactive licenses must send a copy of their active license to the Association before obtaining access to any MLS privileges.
