Understanding the WAOR Education Policy

The education policy of the Waco Association of REALTORS is designed to make professional development accessible, fair, and consistent for every member. Continuing education is a cornerstone of a successful real estate career, and these guidelines help ensure that classes run smoothly, instructors are respected, and members get the most value from each session. By understanding these rules ahead of time, members can plan their learning with confidence and avoid unnecessary fees.

Why a Clear Education Policy Matters

Real estate is a fast-changing profession, and ongoing training keeps agents sharp, compliant, and ready to serve clients well. A clear set of guidelines around registration, attendance, and cancellations protects both the association and its members. It allows the office to schedule the right number of seats, prepare materials, and compensate instructors fairly. When everyone follows the same expectations, classes start on time and run efficiently for the whole group.

Registration and Attendance Guidelines

Members are encouraged to register early for any class or event, as popular sessions can fill quickly. Once registered, please make every effort to attend or to cancel within the stated window. The cancellation rules described above exist to keep courses affordable and well organized. If your plans change, contacting the association office promptly helps free up a seat for another member who may be waiting to enroll.

Staying Current With Required Coursework

Texas real estate professionals are required to complete continuing education to maintain their licenses. The association offers a variety of approved courses throughout the year, covering legal updates, ethics, contracts, and specialized topics. Following the education policy ensures members can complete their required hours without disruption and stay in good standing with both the association and state regulators.
